When we rescued Roscoe, he was approximately one year old. He was frightfully thin, with all
of his ribs showing. In addition he was severely dehydrated. After we brought him home, he drank a
tremendous amount of water, but was unable to urinate until one day later. His body was so
deficient in protein that his toenails were barely visible. He was overrun
with parasites, both internally and externally. We worked for two days picking
ticks off of him, most of which were seed ticks no bigger than the head of a pin. We ran
the Rife frequencies for Lyme Disease and gave him an herbal wormer, which we repeat every month.
The first two
weeks he was so frightened he threw up in the car each time we took him somewhere. After using a
Bach flower remedy combination, the car sickness
subsided. Now the minute he hears Dean putting on his dress jeans or picking up the
car or truck keys, he runs out and sits by the car, sure that he will be invited to go. He
has become a very good traveler. He is a very smart, endearing dog, eager to please and
adores Dean. His tail is always wagging.
When we placed him on a natural diet or raw food, he shed a tremendous amount of hair and now has a
thick, shiny coat and his toenails are normal. His restored health has given him more
resistance to parasites. Running is his joy, and he can outrun
most dogs of any size.
